Eco Therapy also known as walk and talk is the practice of Counselling and Psychotherapy or bereavement support working with your therapist outside in nature. Whether walking along a path through local woodland or sitting on a quiet bench. Being outdoors has many additional therapeutic benefits, bringing you a different experience. The therapeutic benefits known as Eco Psychology refers to how being in nature impacts our mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Some people may find being in a traditional counselling room difficult and find the outdoors provides the space they need to feel comfortable.

Well known benefits to being outdoors are lowered anxiety, depression and stress levels as well as increased mental and physical wellbeing..

For the first appointment we will meet online, or in person to go through confidentiality, safeguarding and complete a detailed assessment to identify your psychological needs and discuss aspects of Eco therapy such as;

Weather conditions, fitness to walk and the location. Privacy is agreed prior to the walk about how both the client and the therapist will deal with encountering someone they know.
