Counselling for children and young people aged 11+

Children and young people can have a variety of difficulties and challenges. Having a safe and confidential space to explore thoughts and feelings can provide invaluable support.

I work with children and young people aged 11+ years supporting them with feelings of anxiety, low mood, low self esteem, peer and relationship difficulties, self harm, complexities about attending school and education, feeling different to others and also bereavement.

I also work as a school counsellor with Autistic children, speech and communication difficulties, ADHD, anxiety, masking, challenging behaviours and a variety of neurodivergent conditions in a SEND communication and interaction collage.

I continue to keep my knowledge up to date attending relevant CPD training and workshops.

Although I have an understanding of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder ARFID and other eating disorders, I do not work specifically with these conditions, as it requires specialist training. Referrals for children can be made via a Paediatrician to a feeding and eating disorders service such as Great Ormond Street Hospital, Addenbrookes Hospital and London Maudsley clinics).
